Christmas 2011

Merry Christmas! This was a wonderful Christmas for my family and me! We spent a wonderful Christmas Eve at my dad's where we ate a delicious dinner, opened presents from Mel and my dad and each other, and enjoyed each other's company. The next morning we opened Santa's gift to us and our stocking presents! At 9:00 A.M. my mom came and we drove to Mill Creek! There we opened Santa's other presents and presents from my mom and from each other. The rest of the day we hung around the house and ate a wonderful lunch together. One by one people left, but they all stayed for a long time! I received some great gifts from everybody! Every gift was thoughtful and I love each and every one. From Mark I got a gorgeous jewelry box, Carly and Scott got me a beautiful necklace with the letter N on it and two pairs of earrings, Kimberly gave me a "groovy" lava lamp, and Tiffany got me some charms for my necklace and some candy! Carly's parents, Hal and Liz, gave me a very warm hat a gloves! Mom's gifts to me included a fleece blanket, a calendar, and a laptop! To the family she got us a Wii! From Mel and my dad I received a Sonicare Toothbrush, some navy blue toms, some Uggs, and a charm for my necklace! The charm was a Space Needle! That was my Christmas and would like to thank everybody for everything and for making it so merry!

Hawaiian Vacation 2011

I know I should have posted about this about five months ago, but for some reason I never did, so I'm doing it now. I sadly didn't take any pictures, but that was because I was busy enjoying it! When we first got there, we had to rent a car, so instead of the usual minivan, we went big and got a suburban, then went to check out the house! It was awesome! The house was cool, but the backyard was a private beach, and had a coconut tree! Sadly, none of the coconuts were ready yet so we never had one. Then we immediately drove over to subway to have some lunch. It was delicious! Then we went to food land to get some supplies for dinner! Once we were back at the house, us kids went boogie boarding in the water, but it was a little bit rocky so we had to wear water socks, but it was a good thing we did because our ankles got a little bit cut up, but not very much. On day two, we went paddle boarding! It was fun, but I was always in the back of the group, and Tiffany rode on one of the instructor's boards, and at the end, she made him pick her a coconut! Paddle Boarding is where you have a surf board type thing, and you stand up and push yourself like in a canoe, but with a longer paddle. For lunch we had Mexican food, and we walked through some of the little shops, and Tiffany got a hula girl outfit, and guess which part she was most excited about? The coconut bra. We had also gone to the Dole Plantation where we went through the biggest permanent maze in the world, and afterwards had some Dole Whips! On the third day, we went snorkeling with dolphins. Well, actually we just saw some dolphins while we were on the boat, and the snorkeled with just some regular fish in a coral reef. It was tons of fun! The rest of the day we just hung around boogie boarding. Upon day four of our arrival we just hung around boogie boarding and playing in the surf. We went shopping around the city Honolulu after having dinner in the city. I had eaten steak and french fries. We were BARELY able to park because we couldn't find any parking spots, and all the parking garages were too short and so we almost scraped the roof of the parking garage that we did park in. Mitch's shoes ended up breaking, so we had to buy him some new flip flops at the ABC store that were several sizes too big. On day five we went swimming with turtles with Carly and Scott because they had landed the night before. We got soaked on the boat and had a lot of fun with the turtles. Carly was the last one to come out of the water, we had to call her name to get her to come back on the boat when it was time to head back to shore! The guy who drove the boat had goggles that were perscription goggles so I could see better underwater! When we came back we went boogie boarding with Carly and Scott! They took pictures with their water-proof camera and got a little cut up on their ankles. Afterwards we all showered and got ready for their dinner rehearsal! The next day, day six, it was Scott and Carly's wedding day! It was a wonderful beautiful wedding! Afterwards was the dinner at the laua place! On our last day we walked around and shopped in Waikiki! The next day we flew home. I was sad to be leaving, but it felt good to be going home again. Well, that was my Hawaiian vacation, sorry it took so long to post!
